Ries Master Bathroom Remodel

A bathroom remodel in Bakersfield: master bathroom refresh with marble-look tile

Project by Coast Design & Build, licensed general contractor #881254. Bathroom remodeling in Bakersfield | All projects

Before

The Ries master bathroom had a small framed shower next to a built-in tub, tan walls and dated brass fixtures. The homeowners liked the layout but wanted it to feel new and bright.

What we did

  • Shower: rebuilt shower in white marble-look porcelain with a pebble floor, built-in niche, matte black rain head and handheld sprayer, and a frameless glass enclosure.
  • Tub: tub surround retiled in the same marble-look tile with a matte black tub filler.
  • Vanity: existing double vanity refinished in a dark espresso with a new white quartz top, black faucets and new lighting.
  • Finishes: fresh paint, new mirrors and black hardware.

The result

Proof that a master bath does not always need a new layout to feel new: better tile, better fixtures and better light did the job.
